RN coordinated care
Karman Legacy Hospice offers a Hospice Experience Registered Nurse to coordinate care and services that are provided by a team of RN’s and LPN’s. Services may include to list a few nursing assessments, medication coordination, teaching, medication administration, pain management, and continuous monitoring of multiple body systems
Physician/Nurse Practitioner Care
Karman Legacy Hospice (KLH) offers the services of a Physician or Nurse Practitioner who will assess our patients periodically as planned by hospice and who are always available to provide medical interventions for KLH patient needs.
Social Worker Services
KLH offers the skills of social workers who provide counseling services and can also be a valuable asset to assist patients/family members with tapping into valuable resources from public and private agencies as available to those in need.
CHHA/Homemakers
Karman Legacy Hospice offers the services of a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to assist with the personal care needs of our patients (bathing and skincare to name a few) and we offer Homemaker services to help with household tasks that support our patients care.
Medication
Karman Legacy Hospice covers medications for clients with no co-pay charges for all medications related to the terminal illness for which hospice services have been certified.
DME (Durable Medical Equipment)
Karman Legacy Hospice provides equipment in the home to meet the needs of the patient to provide as much assistance with mobility as possible in the home environment considering that home may be a nursing facility, assisted living facility, or a private residence.
Karman Legacy Hospice offers Gentle Touch services from a Licensed Massage Therapist. We offer a variation of services to our patients that include respite care for family members and General Inpatient services through Stillwater Medical Center to manage crisis.
Volunteers
At Karman Legacy Hospice we offer volunteer services to enhance the lives of our patients and family members.
We offer services by trained volunteers that include patient care services; reading to a patient, playing cards, playing checkers, socialization in general. Quilting for a patient, baking cookies, Pet Therapy, or Life Review.
We also offer office centered volunteer opportunities such as filing, answering the phone, preparing reports or other meaningful ways to help the staff be able to spend more time focusing on the patient care areas.
