We are one of the few community-owned hospitals that have operating margins averaging 7.5% over the past five years. Our balance sheet is very strong with more than 180 days cash on hand and very low debt load. We are also the second largest employer in Stillwater and we continue to grow our number of staff annually.
Our employees gave more than $90,000 to the United Way and a total of more than $5M in charity care in 2015. We give $9,000 in Wellness Grants each year to schools, churches, and other groups. Because of our compassion and commitment to staff training, we were well prepared to help the community during the homecoming tragedy in October 2015.
