Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac Rehab is a medically supervised program that focuses on exercise and education to help recover from a heart-related illness.
Your Stillwater Cardiac Rehabilitation team will provide and monitor an individualized treatment plan, including evaluation and education on exercise, nutrition, stress management, and other health-related areas. The professional team members include physicians, nurses, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, and other healthcare educators.

Cardiac Rehab is designed to help you improve physical endurance and strength following a cardiac event and help make lifestyle changes to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease. Cardiac Rehab is typically a 12-week program.

How often do you attend cardiac rehab?
Participants are encouraged to attend three times a week for an hour at each session.

Who qualifies for cardiac rehab?
You may qualify for the cardiac rehab program if you have any of the following conditions:
- Diagnosis of documented acute myocardial infarction (heart attack)
- Coronary bypass surgery
- Stable angina pectoris (chest pain)
- Valve repair or replacement
- Coronary stenting / Angioplasty
- Heart or lung transplant
- Heart failure

Stillwater Medical’s Cardiac Rehab is nationally certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

When is Stillwater cardiac rehab conducted?
The cardiac rehab program is conducted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and each session will last approximately one hour.
