Webber   Denise Webber, President and Chief Executive Officer

Denise Webber serves as the President/Chief Executive Officer at Stillwater Medical Center, a 117 bed, public-trust acute care hospital in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The hospital and its over 30 satellite facilities employ nearly 1400 employees and 100 plus physicians in rural North Central Oklahoma.

Webber has been with SMC for 18 years.  During her time in the medical center's administration, Stillwater has seen improved performance in employee satisfaction and engagement through the development and implementation of a service-oriented culture. Ms. Webber successfully spearheaded the acquisition of a 22-physician clinic practice in just six months and helped Stillwater Medical Center acquire a competitive Ambulatory Surgery Center which led to a 5 percent net revenue growth.

She originally joined SMC in May 2003 as an Administrative Fellow and then promoted to Director of Physician Practice Management in 2004. She was promoted to the Senior Leadership team in 2006 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and subsequently appointed as the President/Chief Executive Officer in 2016.

Ms. Webber received two degrees from Oklahoma State University, a Bachelor of Sports Medicine and a Master of Health Care Administration, and is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.  She is also a 2011 Leadership Stillwater graduate.

Webber was named as one of the “Rising Stars: 25 Healthcare Leaders under 40” by Becker's Hospital Review in 2015.  She is active in many professional associations and in the community, serving on various boards for United Way, the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce and the Stillwater Economic Development Advisory Council.  



Michael    Liz MichaelVP, Patient Care Services / CNO

Liz Michael came to serve as Stillwater Medical Center's Vice President of Care Services in 2007 after serving as Director of Medical and Surgical Services at Deaconess Hospital. She also has more than a decade of experience at Norman Regional Hospital in nursing and management roles.

From an OSU-OKC associate's degree in nursing to a Southern Nazarene University (SNU) bachelor's degree in nursing as well as an SNU master's degree in management, Liz is committed to constant learning and growth. She has also studied in the nursing administration program at Oklahoma City University and is nationally certified in Nursing Administration. Nursing is a calling for Liz, and making sure that patients receive the very best care is her goal.

Her passion for patient care and excellence are apparent in each interaction. She says, "We are so fortunate to have a community focused hospital in Stillwater that has such a family atmosphere, while still providing great care. It is an honor and a privilege to be at Stillwater Medical Center. The employees here are phenomenal. We're proud of our constant advancements and diverse services. We also have new physicians coming to town to be part of this team. SMC is truly state-of-the-art. We provide quality care and strive to become better every day!"

Born and raised in Moore, Oklahoma where her mother still resides, Michael is now married to Steve and they enjoy their adult children and wonderful grandchildren. She enjoys music and loves to sing and participate in Community Theater. Other hobbies include reading, caring for her small dogs, working in the yard and being with family.



Lovelace   Alan LovelaceChief Financial Officer

Alan Lovelace came to Stillwater from Shelbyville, Tennessee where he was the CFO at Heritage Medical Center. Originally a native of Arkansas, Lovelace has 16 years of healthcare finance experience. He spent 12 years with Baptist of Memphis and four years as part of CHS, an investor-owned health system.

Lovelace said there were several reasons why he chose to come to Stillwater, including the "passionate leadership" of his fellow administrative council members. “They know the healthcare business very well and have a strong desire for Stillwater Medical Center to serve people of this area with excellence,” said Lovelace. “I want to be a part of building programs and services that will benefit this community for generations to come.”

Lovelace and his wife, Sheila, have three children.



Taylor   Steven TaylorRegional President/System VP

Steven Taylor currently serves as Stillwater Medical Center's Regional President/System VP. In this role, he is the CEO of both Perry Memorial Hospital and Blackwell Regional Hospital. Taylor joined the SMC team in 1997 as the Safety Officer after earning his bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection & Safety from Oklahoma State University. Within two years, he was promoted to Director of Facilities Management, where he worked and led for twelve years.

Taylor has played an integral role in multiple expansion and remodel construction projects at Stillwater Medical Center. With his help, these projects provided an opportunity to expand services and implement new technology to better serve patients. Taylor states, "It's great to be part of an organization that has a commitment to keep the facilities up to date to provide the best services possible for the community."

Taylor was born and raised on his family farm in southwest Oklahoma where his parents still reside. He and his wife, Nicole, have two children. Taylor is actively involved in the Stillwater community including service on the board for Big Brothers Big Sisters, acting Environmental Advisor for the City Council and organization of the United Way Day of Caring event.





Cummings   Steven Cummings, M.D., VP, Physician Practice

Dr. Cummings is a Stillwater native who graduated from Stillwater High School and went on to receive a bachelors degree in biology and chemistry from Southwest Baptist University. After college graduation, Dr. Cummings attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma and completed his residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Cummings specializes in internal medicine and is honored to now provide medical care back in his hometown. His passion is driven by participating on a team of excellent healthcare providers and hospital staff who are dedicated to giving the community, and beyond, exceptional medical care right here in Stillwater.

In his free time, Dr. Cummings is an avid runner, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.



Cooper  Nat CooperVP, Business Devel. & Community Outreach

Nathaniel “Nat” Cooper currently serves as Stillwater Medical Center’s Vice President of Business Development and Community Outreach. Cooper joined SMC in 2007 as an Administrative Resident and has served as Director of Physician Practice Management, Director of Physician Recruitment, and Assistant Administrator of Physician Services with SMC before joining the senior leadership team.

Prior to starting at Stillwater Medical Center, Cooper earned his B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and his M.S. in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.  Mr. Cooper currently sits on the Stillwater Community Health Center Board, is a graduate of Leadership Stillwater, and previously served as a board member and board President for the Stillwater Area United Way.

Born in Stillwater and raised in Bristow, Oklahoma, where his father still practices medicine. Cooper spent much of his childhood in Stillwater with his Grandparents. He is married to the Reverend Doctor Leah Hrachovec, and they have one beautiful daughter.  Cooper’s hobbies include volunteering at church, playing golf, cooking and spending time with his family.   



Cheryl Wilkinson  Cheryl Wilkinson, VP, Support Services and QAPI

Cheryl started at Stillwater Medical Center in 1994 as Infection Control and Employee Health Nurse. In 1999, she became Director of Performance Improvement, with responsibility for Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation, Risk Management and Compliance. She was promoted to her current role as VP of Support Services and QAPI in 2018.

Cheryl received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma, after completing the prerequisites at OSU.  She later received her certification in healthcare risk management and much of her focus at SMC has been to champion safe and trusted healthcare.

Cheryl was born in Stillwater when her father was attending the university. Prior to living in Stillwater, she and her husband, Jim, lived on his family’s farm in the Panhandle of Oklahoma, while she worked at a small hospital in Southwest Kansas. She has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren, who all live in Texas, and they enjoy visits with them as often as possible.
