The privilege to serve the Stillwater Community as a medical specialist is something that Dr. Wedlake has aspired to since secondary school. It is his honor to care for the citizens of Stillwater and the surrounding communities, and something he is grateful to have the opportunity do. Dr. Wedlake is very passionate about the care of his patients… period. The doctor-patient relationship is something he takes very seriously, and holds in the utmost regard.

A Stillwater native, Dr. Wedlake attended Oklahoma State University where he completed his bachelor of science degree in microbiology and bacteriology. He then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he earned his doctor of medicine. While completing his residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center he was honored with the distinction of Chief Resident. Upon completing his medical degree, Dr. Wedlake made the easy decision to return “home” to provide improved neurologic healthcare for Stillwater residents. Dr. Wedlake was recently quoted saying “My hope is that patients realize my emphasis on doctor-patient relationships through their interactions with me, and ultimately know that their neurological health and well-being is my paramount concern. Above all else, I would hope that my patients leave my office saying “he actually listened to me…,” as it is my belief this is the first integral step to convalescence. Even in the age of complex laboratory tests and state-of-the-art imaging techniques, the most basic fundamental of medicine remains the human condition; forgetting this universal truth would be a disservice to our patients.”

Passionate about community service, Dr. Wedlake has volunteered for many worthy organizations. He has mentored and counseling children with disabilities through the Miracle League, served as a church camp counselor for Camp Impact, volunteered with Autisms Speaks, served as team captain and coordinator of the MS Walk, served as a UNITE volunteer for the First Christian Church, and was a medical staff volunteer for West of Heaven Church Camp.

In his spare time, Dr. Wedlake enjoys playing golf and tennis. He also enjoys running, bike riding, skiing, camping and hiking.
