Retirement Planning with a 401a. All full-time employees contribute to this account after 1 year of employment. Employees contribute 3% and Stillwater Medical contributes 6%.

  • Retirement Planning with 457b is available to all SMC employees (full time/part time). This account is based on employee contributions only and can be started or stopped at any time.

Bright Ideas Program - implement a cost-saving idea and get paid 5% of the savings up to $5000. Look on the right side of the SMC Blog in the quick links for the Bright Ideas form.

Christmas Savings Club - available to make Christmas time expenditures a breeze. The Christmas Savings program helps you put aside money with each check to reduce the financial burden of extra expenses during the Christmas and holiday shopping and travel season. Employees can read more about this program and find the form by searching “SMC Christmas Savings Fund” in the library on the intranet.

PTO Cash-Out Option - through election during benefit enrollment in the fall. Team members can opt to sell between 8 and 40 hours at the first payday of June and the payday before Thanksgiving of the following year as long as they can maintain a minimum of 100 hours after the cash out of paid leave hours. Employees can use the hours elected for cash out during the upcoming year if it becomes necessary to use the hours for leave purposes. Email teamresources@stillwater-medical.org for more details.

Employee Gain Share Program - When we collectively accomplish our goals as an organization we send “gain share” bonuses to full and part-time team members.
