Just over 2 weeks ago, I had knee replacement surgery at SMC by Dr. Scott Stubbs. Several well-meaning friends suggested that I seek a bigger hospital or one that sees more cases of orthopedic surgery. As opportunities to commend people are few and far between I wanted to thank all involved in this endeavor. Dr. Stubbs and staff are always pleasant and approachable. Each and every person that ‘touched’ me, from preop labs, class instruction, check-in, and nursing care was thoughtful, kind, and made the process very easy to understand and follow. The fifth floor staff promoted my healing and independence and made the stay the most pleasurable hospital stay I have ever experienced. I neglected to recall all the names of people along the way, but Kaycee, Frances, Barbara, Lori, Valerie, Kelly, Heidi, Kacey, Alberta, and Elizabeth are just a few of the SMC employees that made this journey a pleasant one. My husband and I were both impressed with the quality of care and are pleased to be able to recommend SMC to others. I can only sum up in one word, stellar!  My healing and rehab continues.
