Stillwater Medical announced today that Denise Webber, who has served as President and Chief Executive Officer for over 10 years, will be stepping down from her position later this year to take a new role focusing on statewide hospital improvement.
Under Denise Webber’s leadership, Stillwater Medical evolved from a single community hospital into a robust regional system recognized for award winning care, five-star quality, financial stability, state of the art technology integration, and expansion and addition of several service lines providing patients care close to home. Denise Webber led the organization through significant challenges including the global pandemic, a data breach, financial storms, and several shifts in technology.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve this community. For over two decades, I have seen the incredible resilience of our team and the unwavering trust of our patients and community. While I am leaving my position here, I am not leaving the mission. My new role will allow me to take the successes we’ve built here and apply them to creating broader collaboration, financial sustainability, and advocacy for hospitals across the state,” said Webber.
Denise Webber will join LifeCare Health Services as President/CEO later this year, where she will lead efforts to create collaborative models to improve access to care, reduce overhead expense, improve clinical coordination, and support workforce development.
“It is hard to overstate the impact Denise Webber has had on our organization and community,” said Dan Duncan Board Chair of Stillwater Medical. “We are sad to see her leave her role, but we are proud that her expertise will now serve hospitals all over the state. Our board is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and is actively planning for the next chapter of leadership.”
Stillwater Medical will immediately launch a search for a new CEO.
