Stillwater Medical Transitions to Epic, Bringing New Tools and a More Connected Patient Experience

STILLWATER, Okla., Oct. 3, 2026 — On Oct. 4, Stillwater Medical transitions to Epic, a new electronic healthrecord system designed to make it easier for patients to manage their care and stay connected with their healthcare team.

One of the biggest changes patients will notice is the introduction of MyChart, a single portal that brings their Stillwater Medical care together in one place. Following their first appointment after the transition, patients will have access to a single MyChart account that serves as a central place to manage their Stillwater Medical care — from urgent care, primary care and specialty appointments to hospital visits, diagnostic and laboratory results, and more.

“Epic gives us an opportunity to make the patient experience more connected from the first appointment to follow-up care,” said Denise Webber, president and CEO of Stillwater Medical. “Our goal is to make it easier for patients to access information, communicate with their care teams and manage their healthcare in one place.”

Get the most from MyChart

Patients are encouraged to sign up for MyChart following their next visit. Registration is easy, with personalized activation codes available on discharge papers and billing statements.

Through MyChart, patients can view upcoming appointments, access test and laboratory results, review visit information and health records, communicate with their healthcare team, complete eVisits for certain healthcare needs and participate in telehealth visits.

MyChart is available online or through the MyChart mobile app, giving patients one convenient place to manage their Stillwater Medical care and access records from other health systems using Epic. Epic is one of the most widely used electronic health record systems in the nation, serving healthcare organizations of all sizes across the country. In 2024, Epic was the leading electronic health record developer, used by nearly half of U.S. hospitals.

Patients may notice that appointment reminders, registration, billing statements and other communications look different following the transition. The short code Stillwater Medical uses for text messages is also changing. Patients should save the new short code, 28637, so they can recognize future messages from Stillwater Medical.

The transition to Epic also connects Stillwater Medical with a broader network of healthcare organizations using Epic. Through a technology agreement with Saint Francis Health System, Stillwater Medical is part of the Community Connect network, helping support a more connected experience for patients who receive care across participating organizations.

Stillwater Medical remains a fully independent public trust hospital, with all operations, services and clinical decisions managed locally.
