Stillwater Medical is expanding access to specialty care with the opening of Stillwater Rheumatology. This new service will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with inflammatory arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and other complex rheumatologic conditions.
Many rheumatic diseases can cause ongoing pain, stiffness, swelling, and fatigue that affect your daily life. Early diagnosis and treatment can help reduce symptoms, protect your joints, and improve your quality of life. Our goal is to help patients find answers sooner and develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term health.
Whether you’re experiencing unexplained joint pain or have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, specialized care will soon be available close to home.

Symptoms That May Warrant a Referral
Talk with your primary care provider about a referral to rheumatology if you experience:
- Joint pain lasting longer than several weeks
- Swollen, warm, or tender joints
- Morning stiffness lasting 30 minutes or longer
- Unexplained joint swelling
- Persistent fatigue along with joint pain
- Recurrent episodes of joint inflammation
- Positive autoimmune blood tests
- Symptoms suggesting an autoimmune or inflammatory disease
- Joint pain that has not improved with initial treatment
- Unexplained muscle aches accompanied by inflammation or weakness
