(Oklahoma City, Okla.) – Denise Webber, president and CEO of Stillwater Medical, received the Oklahoma Hospital Association (OHA) W. Cleveland Rodgers Distinguished Service Award, the OHA’s top award. This award is presented each year to an individual in the hospital or health care industry who has made a substantial contribution of service to the OHA, the profession of healthcare management and community service. It was presented earlier this week at the OHA’s 107th annual convention.
Webber has served as the president and CEO of Stillwater Medical for the past 10 years. Stillwater Medical includes Stillwater Medical Center, a 117-bed acute care facility; Stillwater Medical-Blackwell, a 53-bed facility; and Stillwater Medical-Perry, a 26-bed facility.
Webber was chair of the Oklahoma Hospital Association board in 2024-2025. She has served on the board since 2018 and prior to that served on the OHA Education Council. She has also served on the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board. She is an active advocate for improvement and development within the healthcare industry, regularly contributing to policy efforts, industry education and mentoring emerging leaders.
Webber joined Stillwater Medical Center in May 2003 as an administrative fellow and then was promoted to director of physician practice management in 2004. In 2006, she was promoted to the senior leadership team and was subsequently promoted to chief operating officer. She assumed her current position as president/CEO in 2016.
At the end of the year, she will become president/CEO of LifeCare Health Services, where she will lead statewide efforts to create collaborative models to improve access to care, reduce overhead expense, improve clinical coordination, and support workforce development.
Webber has served on multiple boards, including United Way, Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, ACHE Regents Advisory Council, and Stillwater Economic Development Advisory Council.
Webber earned her bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and master’s degree in health care administration from Oklahoma State University. She is a board-certified fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and a 2011 Leadership Stillwater graduate. She was named one of the “Rising Stars: 25 Healthcare Leaders under 40” by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2015.
