Angela Miller, August Employee of the Month

Stillwater Medical Center is pleased to announce Angela Miller as the August Employee of the Month. Angela is a monitor tech on the 3rd floor and has been at SMC for over 8 years.

In her spare time, Angela is very active in her church by leading worship. She also enjoys photography and she is attempting to learn to play piano. But her favorite time away from work is her busy role as a mom and wife.
Angela has lived in Stillwater most of her life.

“I’ve lived in the Stillwater area for 22 years,” she said. “My parents are ministers and I came here my 9th grade year when they took a church.”

She said her family is very important to her and she is grateful for the values and traits they instilled in her. In addition to her family, Angela is a “dog mom” to an English Mastiff and a Boxer.

“I also have a crested gecko named Echo,” said Angela. “Lizards are just fun.”

When asked how she felt about this award, she said she was very humbled and thankful. She’d like her co-workers to know that she would do anything for anyone of them in a heartbeat.

The organization she most admires is the hospital volunteers.

“I just love how friendly they are,” she said. They are giving of their time and talents and always have a smile on their face.”

The farthest she has ever been from Stillwater was Washington state to see her sister. She said it was great and would love to go back.

“I don’t have a favorite vacation spot, but I like to go to places where I feel like I’m away from it all and enjoying time with family,” she said.

The talent she possesses that she would most like to pass along to family is her singing ability.

“My oldest daughter sings,” she said. “I love sitting back and listening to her.”

Thank you for sharing your talents with us, Angela. We really appreciate you.
