An Oklahoma native, Dr. Smith attended Oklahoma State University where she pursued her undergraduate degree in microbiology with a minor in philosophy. She met her husband in Stillwater and has called it her home even when her studies took her elsewhere.  

Dr. Smith earned her osteopathic medical degree from OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Pediatrics residency at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine.  

Throughout her training, Dr. Smith has maintained her enthusiasm for encouraging and mentoring students. She is passionate about providing trauma-informed care to children who have experienced adverse childhood events and partnering with families to achieve the best health and social outcomes possible. With an energetic inner child and a background in performance arts, she can provide playful and compassionate care to her patients.  

When not at work, Dr. Smith loves playing with her adventurous children, singing while she cooks, reading mystery novels, working in her garden, and spending time with her wonderful husband.
