    Our extensive health benefits help make wellness more accessible and affordable.

    • Very competitive medical, dental, and vision premiums and coverage.
    • Tiered system instead of a network, providing incredibly low out-of-pocket costs for service provided in our Stillwater Collaborative Care Region.

    Medical Insurance

    Our medical coverage options include a Base Plan and a High Deductible Health Plan. Our plans are very competitive in affordability and in access to services. Unlike most health insurance, there is no actual “network” with either plan. Members are incentivized with low deductibles, low copays, and lowest out-of-pocket cost for staying within the Stillwater Collaborative Care Region.

    – Team members also have easy access to an excellent in-house Concierge service for all questions related to access to services providers and claims questions. The Stillwater Collaborative Care Concierge can be reached at (405) 742-5771. See the SCC coverage map here.

    • Many preventative services are covered at 100%, including annual wellness visits and health screenings such as colonoscopies, mammograms, routine immunizations and more. Bone densities and full annual lab panels are covered at 100 percent when completed at Stillwater Medical.
    • Telemedicine available.
    • Members have the lowest costs for medications when filled at our SMC pharmacy.
    • RN Health Coaching is available for our medical insurance plan members managing chronic disease.
    • Tax-free Health Savings Account (for those on our high deductible plan) – rolls over each year (in contrast to a regular medical flex spending account) and after retirement can be used at your discretion.
    • Tax-free Flex Spending Account for health-related purchases

     

    Competitive Vision, Dental and Orthodontic Buy-Up

    With Delta Dental and VSP, you pay low premiums with great coverage and the option to “buy up” to higher level insurance to cover orthodontia for your dependents.

     

    Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance

    Long-term disability insurance is paid for by SMC after you’ve been employed for 3 years. You are automatically enrolled after working full-time for three years.

  • Resilience & Wellbeing

    We believe one of the most important ways we can support our team is by making sure you have access to resilience and wellbeing resources. It is our intent that the tools we provide will assist in managing stress, achieving better sleep, boosting creativity and preventing fatigue.

     

    6 Free Counseling Sessions are available to employees through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with the Focus Institute of Stillwater. Employees can use Focus Institute for a wide variety of needs: Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Marriage/Family Issues, Trauma, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, Abuse, and more. If the employee decides to continue counseling beyond the free sessions offered, they can do so at a reduced cost. Call the Focus Institute at (405) 377-6768 to set up a session. Employees on our base plan can also go to any other counseling clinic in the collaborative care region with only a $15 copay.

    Member Plus Access to Insight Timer Mindfulness App which includes 100,000 outcome-based meditations, workplace skill courses, guided move sessions, soundscapes, sleep tracks, and more. Find the Insight Timer app on your app store. Submit your confirmation email/receipt to HRGroup@stillwater-medical.org for reimbursement.

    Time Away using Paid Time Off (PTO) hours that accrue into one account, giving team members the flexibility of using their PTO for personal needs, illness, holiday, vacation, etc. This PTO bank rolls over year to year, and employees can accrue up to 480 hours.

    Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program so SMC employees can get involved in the community and have meaningful and enriching experiences while getting paid their normal rate, up to 8 hours per year. View the policy and request form.

    C.A.R.E Channel – The C.A.R.E Channel is a therapeutic tool that reduces anxiety, alleviates pain, assists with restfulness, and minimizes effects of noise. Employees can play the C.A.R.E Channel sessions to listen to white noise or play the calming music/nature scenes at their workspace to reduce stress or improve focus. View the C.A.R.E. Channel here.

  • Healthy Lifestyle

    We’re helping you lead your best life whether you are at work, home, or play.

     

    Employee Wellness Program, in which employees can voluntarily engage in free “Check-In” events twice per year (usually January and July). Full-time employees can earn 8 hours PTO and PRN/part-time employees can earn $50 SMC Bucks for “Healthy Normal” values in 3 out of 4 categories (blood pressure, BMI, Total Cholesterol, and Glucose).     50% Reimbursement for Race Entry Fees up to $50 in SMC bucks per calendar year. Submit a copy of your payment receipt and either a copy of your race bib or a photo of you in/at the race to totalhealth@stillwater-medical.org.

    Maternity Planning Options  – Having a baby while on our base medical plan is extremely affordable compared to most other insurance plans. Employees can utilize these tips to get the most out of your benefits when preparing to grow your family:

    • If the team member applies and qualifies for short-term disability prior to pregnancy, it can serve as a supplement for income during maternity leave, in addition to PTO. Team members also continue to accrue their PTO while on paid leave.
    • 20% discount on hospital services – Opt-in for payroll deduct on your hospital expenses by completing and submitting this form to HR. Read more about the discount in the policy or email hrgroup@stillwater-medical.org for assistance.
    • Flex spending account can be used to pay on Labor and Delivery expenses with tax-free money, do so after payroll deduct has been activated to get the most savings. Email hrgroup@stillwater-medical.org for assistance.
    • Our medical insurance plan offers a $200 maximum covered allowance for the purchase of a breast pump. Call (405) 377-9735.

    Educational Assistance Program that provides tuition reimbursement for professional growth in the healthcare-related fields and Stillwater Medical. Click here for the Education Assistance application.

    Scholarships available from Stillwater Medical Foundation for additional help with expenses associated with college or vocational studies in healthcare-related fields. Contact the Foundation for more information.

    Leadership Development Institute for formal leadership at SMC. Aligning the leadership team and ensuring they have the training to lead with skill, compassion, and great communication is one key ingredient to making sure Stillwater Medical is a great place to work.

    Retirement Planning with a 401a. All full-time employees contribute to this account after 1 year of employment. Employees contribute 3% and Stillwater Medical contributes 6%.

    • Retirement Planning with 457b is available to all SMC employees (full time/part time). This account is based on employee contributions only and can be started or stopped at any time.

    Bright Ideas Program – implement a cost-saving idea and get paid 5% of the savings up to $5000. Look on the right side of the SMC Blog in the quick links for the Bright Ideas form.

    Christmas Savings Club – available to make Christmas time expenditures a breeze. The Christmas Savings program helps you put aside money with each check to reduce the financial burden of extra expenses during the Christmas and holiday shopping and travel season. Employees can read more about this program and find the form by searching “SMC Christmas Savings Fund” in the library on the intranet.

    PTO Cash-Out Option – through election during benefit enrollment in the fall. Team members can opt to sell between 8 and 40 hours at the first payday of June and the payday before Thanksgiving of the following year as long as they can maintain a minimum of 100 hours after the cash out of paid leave hours. Employees can use the hours elected for cash out during the upcoming year if it becomes necessary to use the hours for leave purposes.     Employee Gain Share Program – When we collectively accomplish our goals as an organization we send “gain share” bonuses to full and part-time team members.

    Employee Service Awards and Gift – As employees reach 5-year milestones of employment with Stillwater Medical, they (and a guest) are invited to attend the annual Employee Service Awards event in their honor, at which they are presented with a medallion to recognize their milestone.

    Hospital Week – a week-long annual celebration of our amazing healthcare workers in May; includes fun activities, food, contests, prizes, and more!

    Additional Celebrations – Stillwater Medical has an award-winning team and we love to celebrate those successes with you. When our team achieves designations such as “Best Places to Work” or “Newsweeks World’s Best Hospitals”, we see these as great opportunities to create fun events and/or send you fun things to thank you for the meaningful work you do each day

    Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year program – with special recognition and additional perks. You can nominate someone for Employees of the Month by going to the intranet, clicking the Human Resources Tab and clicking the “Employee of the Month Nomination” link. In late November/early December, all team members are sent a link to be able to vote which Employee of the Month they think should be our Stillwater Medical employee of the year.
