Intensive and Critical Care

When a patient suffers a heart attack, stroke, shock, respiratory distress, or other serious medical issues, it is vital that they receive immediate and intensive care. Stillwater Medical Center’s Critical Care Unit differs from our other inpatient units. Specially trained staff, including physicians, RNs, and respiratory therapists, closely monitor and observe a small number of patients at a time and are adept at providing such care in settings where patients can be given complex assessments and treatments.

Patients may have special medication and/or equipment in their room, depending on their unique situation and condition.

We know having a loved one in a critical condition can be stressful. Our staff is here not only for the patients but for their loved ones, too. If at any time you have questions or concerns, please let our staff know.
