Sandra Smith, PA-C, attended Northern Oklahoma College, where she earned an associate degree in nursing. While working full-time as a registered nurse, she attended Oklahoma State University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in education. She later returned to the University of North Dakota and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2010.
Sandra began her healthcare career as a housekeeper and progressed to laundry aide, nursing assistant, and ultimately earned her RN degree in 1990. She practiced as a registered nurse in rural Oklahoma for 20 years, working in labor and delivery, medical-surgical care, the emergency room, and surgery. During this time, she became certified in surgery as a CNOR.
As a Physician Assistant, Sandra believes her experience in multiple roles and areas of healthcare allows her to approach patient care from a well-rounded perspective. Her specialty is Family Medicine, and she enjoys caring for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics. She has practiced in Perry for 15 years as a Physician Assistant.
Sandra is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants (OAPA), and she is board certified by the NCCPA.
Sandra is married and has two children and one granddaughter. Her favorite hobbies include bass fishing, baking and cooking, and spending quality time with her husband.
