Dr. Gregg Valenzuela is an experienced gastroenterologist with an impressive background spanning over 40 years in the medical field. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati.
After serving 4 years as an internal medicine physician in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Valenzuela pursued advanced training, completing a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Virginia. He then spent 20 successful years in private gastroenterology practice in Richmond, Virginia.
For the past decade, Dr. Valenzuela has worked as a locums gastroenterologist, providing his expertise at hospitals across the country, including Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, Presbyterian Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and most recently, Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, where he worked for 15 months over a 2-week monthly schedule.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Valenzuela served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia for 5 years, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of physicians.
Now officially retired, Dr. Valenzuela remains active, pursuing his passions for running, motorcycle riding, and writing poetry. He is also a practitioner at the Health and Hope Free Clinic in Pensacola, Florida, where he volunteers his time and medical expertise.
With his extensive experience, compassionate patient care, and dedication to the medical field, Dr. Valenzuela is an invaluable asset to the Stillwater Medical Center community. He looks forward to sharing his skills and expertise with patients in Oklahoma.
