About me

Aaron Pierce, DO is a physician specializing in anesthesiology. He has completed his anesthesiology residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, where he served as Co-Chief Resident for the 2024–2025 academic year, earned the award of Dr Stephen Bovasso Resident of the Year in 2025, and graduated in June 2025.
Dr. Pierce earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated first in his class in 2021 while holding a 4.0 GPA and was inducted into Sigma Sigma Phi, the national osteopathic honor society. He received multiple academic honors during medical school, including the Academic Excellence Award. He completed his undergraduate education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Magna Cum Laude honors.
Dr. Pierce has a strong background in research and scholarly activity. His work includes participation in organic chemistry and biochemistry research and authorship on a peer-reviewed publication evaluating reporting guidelines and clinical trial registry requirements among anesthesiology journals, published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Medicine.
In addition to his clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Pierce has demonstrated leadership through his role as Co-Chief Resident and prior service in medical and university leadership organizations. He is an active member of the American Medical Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Dr. Pierce is committed to providing safe, patient-centered anesthetic care and values teamwork, academic excellence, and service. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, attending University of Oklahoma football games, and being active in his church community.
