Stephanie has been with us for over 14 years. She has been a physical therapist for 27 years and joined our Home Health agency in 2009. In 2023, she received a major honor by being named one of ten National Home Care Finalists and was featured in a national magazine, Home Care, for her advocacy for patients in the therapy realm.
“I love helping people and being trusted to be a part of their journey as they recover from illness, injury, and/or surgery. I love helping people reach their goals, so they can have a better quality of life,” said Stephanie.
After growing up in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she went on to attend college in Denton, Texas, at Texas Woman’s University (TWU), where Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. From there she earned her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from TWU Institute of Health Sciences in Houston, Texas.
In June 2008, she and her husband of 26 years moved to Stillwater. Her husband was full-time with the OK Army National Guard and took a position in the area. He is now retired from the National Guard and works as an Academic Advisor for OSU’s new nursing program. They have 2 children: Cole, 21, who is a student at OSU, and Aubrey, 18, who is a student at Drury University in Springfield, MO.
In her downtime, Stephanie loves doing just about anything that involves spending time with family. When she’s not with the fam, she likes to do yoga, hike, garden, read, travel, and spend time with her dogs.
When asked what she’s enjoys most about working at Stillwater Medical, she responded, “I love the culture at SMC, putting patient’s first and foremost, providing top-notch care. I believe our organization’s Commitment to Excellence has been a driving force behind that. I love working with other people who believe in that mission.”
