Marshall Walker, O.D., FAAO
Dr. Walker is excited to join Stillwater Eyecare and serve Stillwater and the surrounding communities. His passion for vision care stemmed from his childhood experience with myopia (near-sightedness) and is reaffirmed when he sees a child’s reaction once they can see the world with clarity. Vision is such an integral part of life and he feels blessed to help restore, preserve and enhance vision in patients of all ages.
Dr. Walker is the only board certified low vision specialist in north central Oklahoma. He graduated with a bachelor of science in zoology from the University of Oklahoma. He earned his doctorate of optometry with honors from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He trained at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida and Feinbloom Low Vision Center in Philadelphia. Following optometry school, he completed a post-graduate residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery through Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. After his residency, Dr. Walker served as an assistant clinical professor at the Oklahoma College of Optometry and served at Indian Health Service Clinics throughout Northeastern Oklahoma.
Dr. Walker enjoys providing humanitarian eye care at events locally, nationally, and internationally, including the annual at the Special Olympics Opening Eyes event in Stillwater. He and his wife Heidi have two children and love living in Stillwater and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, he enjoys kayaking, fishing, gardening, and generally anything outdoors.
