Cathy Kindt, APRN-FNP
Catherine Kindt grew up in Elgin, Oklahoma, and received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Oklahoma State University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Oklahoma Health Science Center-Duncan, and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama. She’s been with SMC since 2017, and her nursing background consists of Emergency Room and Hospice care.
She is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner, but specializes in the care of Geriatric patients. “I have always LOVED helping people. I truly want my patients to have the best quality of life, to include adequate healthcare, in their older years.” Her love for the older population came at a young age, when she aided her mother (who was an only child) in caring for her grandparents. They both ended up living out their remaining years in a highly skilled nursing facility, and the wonderful experience they had there is what drives Catherine’s passion for senior adults.
She’s also involved with organizations like United Way, Our Daily Bread, and Stillwater Youth Sports. In her free time, she can be found chasing after her two children, Preslee and Averee, to all of their activities, and also going to OSU events.
