Teresa Taylor, patient family member
"I want to take this time to say 'thank you' to the nurses on the 3rd floor and those in the ICU whom took such excellent care of my mother. I can say I have never before seen such dedication, such caring and thoughtful nurses, doctors and aides. The care my mother received during her brief stay before she passed is to be commended and my family and I thank each and everyone of those who cared for her. The hospital in itself is to be commended for taking care of the family while we stayed by her bedside. Opening up the room next to my mom's, bringing in food trays, fresh towels and always asking if we, the family, needed anything was something you don't encounter in some hospitals. I live in San Antonio and I can say that the Stillwater medical center is one of the best hospitals I have encountered. Even tho I don't remember all the names, I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless each of you! 10 stars! Thank you!!!!!!!"

"I am a medical doctor from Indonesia. I was hospitalized in the ER for acute viral gastritis. The gastritis was awful, but the care I received was very excellent and it provided me comfort during illness. I would like to thank the the volunteers and staffs, Dr. Stuart Shoemake, Nurse Heidi and Kimberly Denton for not only showing empathy and care, but also explaining every treatment and diagnostic procedure I had to go through. The billing system was also very efficient. We used J2 visa insurance and everything was taken care of. Thank you to SMC!"
Daniel, former surgical, outpatient and ER patient
"I just wanted to say thank you. I have had two stays this year on the fifth floor after hip surgery. The girls on that floor were awesome - so friend and they work together. Just last month I was in for an outpatient surgery, and the same professionalism. On Monday, I dislocated my hip and visted the ER. The service was great. I was in great pain, but they did a great job. Even the security guard helped. You have a wonderful hospital with great people. Thank you!"
Kayla, former patient, Stillwater
"My husband and I had vascular screenings done at Stillwater Medical Center. It was a great experience. The staff was helpful and friendly and the person who conducted our screening tests, Bob, did a wonderful job explaining the painless procedures. The tests are a good value for your money but the peace of mind we got from knowing the results was priceless."
Bonnie, 83, former patient, Stillwater
“I had extensive surgery on my back in another hospital. I was studied for stroke and Alzheimer’s in another hospital. Finally here living with my son and his family, I feel like we get the communication and follow through I wish I’d had for my entire lifetime of medical care. It’s nice to know this is the hospital that will be serving my family in future years.”
James, 34, former patient, Perkins
"I grew up in a city where I learned a distrust of the medical professionals in general. A mishandled diagnosis that led to my someone's death, unprofessional experiences in the ER, scary surgical complications for my dad and more. Many people where I'm from drove an hour or more for not only check-ups but emergencies and having their babies. It is so comforting to know that Stillwater Medical Center is right here in this area; right here with expertise and technology I'd drive statewide for. Thanks for all you do for so many of my friends, employees and family."
Jordan, 26, former patient, Stillwater
"I can not say enough about Stillwater Medical's Maternal Child Health Unit and OB physicians! Before, during and after my delivery, they were always there for me! When pregnant with my first child, I certainly had a natural birth plan. During my third trimester, it became obvious that my baby had other plans. When I received a gestational diabetes diagnosis, the SMC team was fully prepared to help me understand my condition and cope with the emotional side through a diabetes educator and nutritionist. When my baby was still breech at 37 weeks, the SMC team was knowledgeable and prepared to help me understand my options and begin letting go of my birth plan to prepare for a c-section. The nursing team, anesthesia team and physicians all were amazing during my delivery, helping me stay calm and comfortable. In the days that followed, they taught my husband and I how to care for our new baby and my recovering body. They even were available 24/7 via phone to answer questions after I went home!"
Laurie, former patient, Stillwater
"My children were born at SMC. I have cared for grandparents hospitalized there. My husband had a knee operated on there. A family friend fought her cancer there. I have never been disappointed. Instead, I've always felt cared for. I've had loved ones in the ER. You tell us what we need to know and have everything it takes to handle our situations in the right ways. It's also great to see your names on sponsorship t-shirts all around town for this and that. You are a strong part of our health and a strong part of our city."
Brian, former radiology and surgery patient, Stillwater
"On August 20, 2012, I had shoulder surgery. My only regret is that I cannot remember each person's name. From June 29, 2012 with the starting MRI pre-registration to leaving the surgery center in August, everyone involved was the greatest I could ever pray for. Everyone was so kind and informative. It is also such a relaxed feeling being around such professional and caring people. They were all able to be exceptional at each task, yet keep you feeling that you may be at home. YES, the staff made me feel that comfortable. THANK YOU…All of you!”
Kim, patient, Stillwater
"My experience is with a service provided by Stillwater Medical Center, Cimarron Medical Services. Jan McVay, the certified mastectomy fitter at this facility, always goes above and beyond to make my yearly fitting as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Her joyful attitude and dedication to exemplary customer service is always apparent. I appreciate her and her vast knowledge of proper fitting for this very select population. She is an example of the dedication which unfortunately is becoming more and more rare these days and she is an asset to Stillwater Medical Center!"
Melissa, family member of patient
"Recently, one of our family members, Jamie Tang, passed away. She spent her last week in ICU and on 3rd floor (307) at the Stillwater Medical Center. Our experience during that difficult time in our lives was made a little easier by the friendly and helpful staff at the hospital. Everyone was very caring toward Jamie as well as toward the family, always asking if we needed anything. They went above and beyond to not only make sure Jamie's needs were addressed but ours as well. Many thanks to all the staff at Stillwater Medical Center for your caring nature. You are a great facility with a wonderful staff."
