"I can not say enough about Stillwater Medical's Maternal Child Health Unit and OB physicians! Before, during and after my delivery, they were always there for me! When pregnant with my first child, I certainly had a natural birth plan. During my third trimester, it became obvious that my baby had other plans. When I received a gestational diabetes diagnosis, the SMC team was fully prepared to help me understand my condition and cope with the emotional side through a diabetes educator and nutritionist. When my baby was still breech at 37 weeks, the SMC team was knowledgeable and prepared to help me understand my options and begin letting go of my birth plan to prepare for a c-section. The nursing team, anesthesia team and physicians all were amazing during my delivery, helping me stay calm and comfortable. In the days that followed, they taught my husband and I how to care for our new baby and my recovering body. They even were available 24/7 via phone to answer questions after I went home!"

"My children were born at SMC. I have cared for grandparents hospitalized there. My husband had a knee operated on there. A family friend fought her cancer there. I have never been disappointed. "On August 20, 2012, I had shoulder surgery. My only regret is that I cannot remember each person's name. From June 29, 2012 with the starting MRI pre-registration to leaving the surgery center in August, everyone involved was the greatest I could ever pray for. Everyone was so kind and informative.
